Check out this guy, Jonathan Winters, a true comedic genius one-man show.   He was a huge influence on comedians we know today, like Robin Williams and Jim Carrey and I'm sure other more contemporary comedians like Zach Galifianakis.

I just thought this to make perfect sense. Sometimes we make the same mistakes not because we're stupid but because we liked the lesson so much we want to learn it again. Therefore make mistakes, learn from them, then study what you learned by making the same mistake.
